Slow broadband speeds

Hi. I'm experiencing extremely slow speeds. I've gone from 64 Mbps download to 5-8 Mbps if even that in the past 4 days. I changed speeds about 2 weeks ago to 100Mbps. And now I'm regretting the change. Could it be the connection somewhere? Or does the modem need to be changed because of the faster speed?
Some advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
Nothing has changed except for the speed.
