Weak wifi signal, need help moving HFC NBN router/modem

Hi
We are having a weak wifi signal for our NBN and would like to move the router closer to the center of the house but we are not sure how to do that as the router is connected to the HFC cable. We bought an ASUS RP-AC52 Repeater to extend the wifi but tenants complained that it is causing disconnections.

Not sure if it is related to the disconnection, the internet sometimes can be very slow. As I'm writing this its like 11 pm and my speed test shows download speed only like 1.3Mbps and upload speed 0.3Mbps.
The house owner wasn't sure which plan we are on and we are deciding whether an upgrade is needed. Please advise.

Also, the live chat support is trash. I never mind waiting on iinet support for hours but this TPG chat that closed the chat without even saying anything after I've waited for hours is on a whole new level.
