Which mesh product is best suitable with TP Link Archer C1200 v1.1 router?

Hi,

Would love some advice on which mesh product is best suitable for the router I have which is TP Link Archer C1200 v1.1.

I went on to the TP Link website to ask there but support were hopeless.

They just gave me the link to this website https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/deco/

but I don't know which ones are best suited to my TP Link router as when I looked at compatibility my router version wasn't listed.

Thanks in advance for any advice from the community as I am not tech savvy, just wanting to find a solution for wifi dark spots in home while in covid lockdown.

Hi @georginak . If you have Archer C1200, do you have FTTP?

If so, where is the NBN box located and where is the Archer located?

If the Archer is poorly located, say in the garage, an longer ethernet cable (Cat6) could be used to move the Archer inside the house. Wifi coverage might improve. You might only need an extender.

If already inside house, it could be replaced with a 2 or 3 pack mesh unit. Or again, just an extender.

You can use your mobile phone to see how much or how little coverage you get in the dark spots.

If you weren't in lockdown, would you put up with the dark spots?
