Why does my internet drop out?

We have recently had TGP connection and moden installed. FIrst couple of days were wonderful, no issues. Then today the internet has dropped out four times over the course of the day. It stays out fro approx 1 minutes then reconnects. Why is this happening? Very frustrating.
