Why was I charged for a month' full fee for 12 days use?

Hi,

 

I requested my NBN service termination at the end of August and had a consultation by phone and web chat regarding this. Following the 30-day notice policy, it was agreed that the service would end around September 26th. And I was informed that the September bill would include charges for approximately 12 days, from September 16th to the 28th (because my service starts the 16th of every month and is prepaid 6 days earlier so the actual billing date is the 10th), However, I found that the full monthly fee has been charged today (today is 10th). Could anybody please explain why I was billed for the month instead of just 12 days before discussing this with TPG?
