I have had the same email address since 1996.  My ISP was taken over by Chariot which was taken over by TPG.  Now they have turned off the server and I cannot receive email at my old address.  I do not want to contact hundreds of people who use my old address. Chariot preserved by address when they bought out my first ISP.  Can TPG do the same?
