not receiving emails from some senders - SPF failure

For a while now emails to me from some senders are being rejected by TPGH and bouncing back to them with the following message:

550 5.7.23 The message was rejected because of Sender Policy Framework violation -> 550 #5.7.1 SPF unauthorized mail is prohibited.

Why is TPg rejecting messages from some senders and not others? How do I fix this?

Based on the error message they received, the SPF records of their mail server are not updated.

In order to confirm this, kindly send me the email address affected.
