Alternate WiFi router, but keep tp-link for telephone

I would like to buy an alternative WiFi router in order to get better range than the tp-link router supplied by TPG.  However I would also like to keep my TPG phone.  Is it possible to connect the tp-link to my new router?

e.g. I would

* turn off WiFi

* Set Advanced > EWAN > Internet Connection Type to Dynamic IP and

* connect a cable from a LAN port on my new router to the WAN port on the TP-Link

Will the phone will keep working in this configuration?

Hi @OliverBock . For the VOIP phone to work, the TPG router must be connected to the NBN box (or telephone wall socket) and must operate in normal mode, not bridge mode. You can connect another router or extender to a LAN port on the TPG router. You can elect to leave TPG router wifi on or disable it.
