Slow Internet and crackly phone line

      Our internet is really slow and the phone line can get quite crackly at time. how do we have this rectified?

Welcome to the Community! 


I've located your account using your Community name and was able to run remote tests. 


Currently, test results does not show a physical issue with the line outside. However, we can see that the sync speed is not what we expect in your area. 


We need to consider the factors that could possible cause this speed issue and the noise on your phone. This issue is commonly caused by faulty hardware or phoneline like modem, filter, phone socket, internal cabling or poor copperwire quality.


To eliminate issues on your end. Please do the following:


  • Check cables if properly connected
  • Connect modem directly to wall(w/o filter, double adaptor, power surge protector)
  • Alternatively, try to connect the phone directly to wall
  • Try a different wall socket
