I have the same issue. After contacting TPG they report that I have to buy a new modem from them for $100 plus $10 shipping. The issue is that the modem is old and they can't update it.
Personally I think its cheaper to go to iinet to get the exact same service and a modem for free with $10 shipping.
Hope that you have better luck than me with customer services and tech support.
