Archer VR1600v Ver:2.0 shared usb files > 2GB

Hi,

I've put an external hard drive on the modem usb and then try to access these files.  I've found that the files < 2GB are ok but any files > 2GB can't be used.  It looks like the Archer VR1600v  Ver:2.0 is using Samba v1 (SMB v1) which has a 2GB limit.

So, firstly I'd like to know whether my modem has the latest firmware?

Firmware Version:                                 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 200810 Rel.53181n

Hardware Version:                                 Archer VR1600v v2 00000000

Second, is there any way to upgrade the modem to SMB v2 ?

Thanks,

Phil

Hi @philcoal ,

This is a known issue with our supplied Archer Vr1600. This has been raised to our Network Engineers and still awaiting for response.

Please see the thread below.

2GB file size limit on Archer VR1600v v2?
