Can I use a different router?

I am currently on a FTTB plan and I was provided with a Huawei HG659 router.

I am thinking of buying a different router. Probably something like this.

Is it okay for me to use the Netgear router instead of the one provided by TPG?

Hi @terencedangol ,

Welcome to the community!

You may use any VDSL modem/router for TPG-FTTB. However, we'd like to set your expectation that the VoIP feature of the service will only work using our supplied modem/router.

We have an existing article about using a 3rd party modem/router. Feel free to visit the link below.

Using own modem for FTTB NBN

Let me know how it will go and should you require further assistance.

Cheers!

Hi Shane,

Thank you for your reply.

"set your expectation that the VoIP feature of the service will only work using our supplied modem/router"

Can you please elaborate on this.

For some reason, the link does not work for me. I get this error:

You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action.

Thanks!
