Hi
I have HFC NBN with the TP-link archer vr1600v modem/router.
I have a first generation chromecast, I've had some issues with it before but they seemed to go away, but now they're back again.
Whenever I try casting from a device to my TV, after a few minutes the wifi (2.4GHz network that the chromecast is connected to) will lose internet connectivity and I have to disable and re-enable it to get it working again.
The 5GHz network continues to work fine.
The router firmware is 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.56416n
Chromecast version is the latest preview version 1.36.159268
Is there a firmware upgrade for the router that I can try?
David
Hi David, can other devices still use the 2.4GHz network when it stops working for the Chromecast?
No, the 2.4Ghz network needs to be stopped, wait for a bit, then started again.
