Chromecast with Google TV not connecting to Internet

Hi there,
I'm having issues connecting my Chromecast with Google TV to the internet.
I have 5G Home Broadband Max using the Sagemcom Fast 5866T.
I've had a read through other Community 'chromecast' troubleshooting posts, but unfortunately it hasn't solved the issue.

I changed the router name to make sure it didn't have any special characters (per previous Community post).
I was successful one time in setting up the Chromecast (after many attempts of it not being able to connect to the Internet), but once I had it setup apps (i.e. Netflix, Stan, Binge) on the Google TV were not loading because of network issues error notices and I wasn't able to cast (even when I was on the same Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz as the Chromecast).

After using the Chromecast troubleshooting site (Force qutting, power restarting the modem & device and removing and reinstalling the apps) I decided to Factory reset the device. This brought me back to square one and now it's not letting me connect to the Internet.

My upload and download speeds are fine (17.2 download and 35.0 upload).
Other troubleshooting ideas are AP Isolation settings - but I'm not sure where these are in my router settings.
And creating a Static IP for the Chromecast - but I'm unable to do this until I set up the device (https://smarthomestarter.com/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-to-chromecast/)

Please help!
Kind regards,
Catherine

Hi @catmac23,

As you have performed all the basic troubleshooting steps for the Chromecast to work with the internet. We suggest to directly contact the device support to properly identify the issue of Google Chrome Cast to avoid incorrect troubleshooting.

I'm sorry to hear about your Chromecast connectivity issue. Have you tried restarting your router and the Chromecast? Sometimes that can help resolve connection problems. If that doesn't work, you might want to check if there's a software update available for your Chromecast or try a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue persists. If none of these solutions work, reaching out to Google support could provide further assistance.
