Hi @stuartf28 . This is from another user with this model (Archer VR2100).
1. Reset the modem completely.
2. Goto Advanced > Operation Mode > Select Wireless Router Mode > Save
3. Goto Basic > Customer Vlan Tag > VLAN Tag: 2 > Connection Type: PPPoE > Username : Add your tpg email address > Password : Add your password > Save
The above is for the bundled NBN/VOIP plan (even if you don't use a phone).
If on BYO router data only plan, don't set VLAN tag.
Phone cable goes from wall socket to DSL port.

Still no luck is there a number I can call? Surely it’s just a simple step I’m missing
@stuartf28 . On Internet Connection Setup screen, do you select VDSL, not ADSL?
ISP List: Other; VLAN ID Enable; VLAN ID=2.
@stuartf28 . Reboot router.
Go to Advanced > System Tools > Reboot.
Does the DSL light come on?
Login to router and check System Log. Advanced > System Tools > System Log.
Are there any timeouts? Does the router try to login? You should see your username in the log.
