I have been a TPG customer for the past 4 years and have just started having a few problems with internet dropping in and out and when I looked at our modem I noticed it has a big brown burn like mark on the front of it. I phoned TPG and asked for a replacement modem as this one is the original one we got when we signed up and was told that they only have a 1 year replacement warranty and I'd have to purchase another modem at a cost of $99 plus postage (I think he said) and I said why do I have to pay when I've been a loyal customer for 4 years, to which he said it was customary for most providers. I haven't ordered a new one and told him I'd be looking around for other providers as obviously TPG customers aren't important to them and all they care about is getting your monthly fee paid. He replied "have you got any other questions today" and I said no and he said "have a nice day". More evidance of how much they care about your business.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it, other than moving providers.
