Hello,
I think our modem needs replacing?
Nearly every day we have to turn it off, click the “reset” button, and then turn it back on before we can properly access the internet fully.
I have done all the connections tests and everything seems to fine with our actual internet connection but we are now experiencing this problem every day and have to do the steps I mentioned before to access some sites or apps.

The modem model we have is VX420 - G2v.
What would you recommend we replace it with and what are the costs?

Were you experiencing dropouts or the internet was not working at all?

 

How are you connected to the modem? Is it via WiFi only or both WiFi and Wired connection?

 

Have you tried to reset the modem/router while it's on?

Modem is connected via wifi only.
We do not loose complete internet drop out, some apps and sites can still be opened but a lot can’t and our smart tv also looses connection.
Once the have done the “reseting” thing a couple of times and turned modem off and back on, things will be fine … but then it will likely happen again the next day or two.

If the devices are connected via WiFi, then signal interference might be causing this as well.

You can also perform a factory reset to the modem/router if the issue will recur after the troubleshooting above.
