PC will not connect via Ethernet to TP-Link Archer VR1600v on NBN HFC

My work PC will not connect via Ethernet to TP-Link Archer VR1600v on NBN HFC when plugged directly into the modem. If it’s plugged into a hub that is connected to the modem it works fine.  It connected to the same modem type via a fibre to the node connection it worked fine but it was the only device physically connected to the modem.  I cannot change adaptor settings as it’s a work PC.   My desktops are connected via a hub and they operate fine.  Please assist in providing what settings on the TP-Link Archer VR1600v on NBN HFC need to be changed to address this issue.  Change ports on the modem has no impact on the PC ability to connect via Ethernet.

Hi @lrubenis . Has the work PC always had this problem or just recently.

What model of hub is it?

If you connect the work PC directly to the Archer, does the LAN light come on?

On the work PC, do    ipconfig /all    command. Copy and paste the ethernet adapter section.

Do your other desktops work when directly connected to Archer or do they have the same problem?

Do    ipconfig /all    on one of those.
