Get online support
The customised TPG software on the Archer vr1600v router has a number of default ports open and has disabled the ability to change / add NAT forwarding options. How can I get this changed? I would like control over my network and only wish to use TPG as my ISP.
I am unsure what settings need to be preconfigured for TPG to enable internet on the router and am sure these can be added to another router.
If TPG will not change the router, can I get the settings required to set up my own router?
For VR1600 portforwarding article was posted above this thread, https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Port-Forwarding-on-the-TP-Link-VR1600V/td-p/1814 this might help you. Unfortunately some feature of the original modem/router is not available coz of TPG optimized the firmware of it's supplied modem/router.
If you wish to connect a router extension to TPG's supplied modem/router might wanna check this https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Are-the-Tpg-routers-DHCP-compatible/m-p/25448#M25....
For setting up different VDSL2 modem/router
VLAN ID: 2
Connection Type: PPPoE
Username: TPG username
Password: TPG password
