Hi @shanesweep01 . In the router config for Wireless settings, what are the encryption settings?

I don’t know, where would I find the details

@shanesweep01 . Login to router admin. If you have an Archer VR1600, it is in Advanced, Wireless, Wireless Settings.

@shanesweep01 . Look at Home Network, WLAN Settings, Encryption page (if present).

Set Security Mode to WPA2-PSK, or WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. And Encryption (if present) to AES.

Read this thread on "weak security".

@shanesweep01 . Try this thread. It has a picture of the screen to change settings.

I’m guessing that’s accessing the modem somehow, I don’t know how to do that

@shanesweep01 . In your browser, put 192.168.1.1 (it is shown on the label on the router) in the address bar and enter. This is the router's login screen. The userid and password are probably admin, but look on the label on the router. This takes you to the main menu.
