archer vr1600v packet loss

I have NBN HFC and am experiencing regular packet loss when playing games online. it happens both when wired and wireless. I have tried turning off the modem, factory resetting it, using different cables and trying many different modem settings and have not been able to find a fix for my problem

Hi @billy-edwards . There are no special settings for this.

To check your local network, do the following on your ethernet computer:

ping -n 200 192.168.1.1

Response times should be 1 ms with no timeouts.

To check the NBN network, do the following:

ping -n 200 203.26.27.38

This is tpg.com.au. Response times should be a small number of millisec with no timeouts. 

Do tracert to the game server. Look for long response times between hops.

You could also try ping to game server.
