FTTC NBN Device not connecting

Switching from ADSL2 to NBN FTTC. Received hardware and message to connect.

Been 2 hours since I plugged in my NBN FTTC device and modem, way past the 15 minutes I would expect it would take. Still clicking noise and no connection. Connection and DSL lights on my FTTC NBN device blinking blue light.

The TPG status page https://www.tpg.com.au/support/trackmyorder shows my installation is progressing, but is this message reliable? I received an SMS to start setup after all?

On NBN site,  How to Check for NBN Network Outage

https://www.nbnco.com.au/support/network-status tells me :

 

This address is not connected to the nbn™ broadband access network

Please check with your phone and internet service provider to see if there are any issues with their network.

Hi @Dmitri,

 

Thanks for raising this to us. I was able to locate the account using community details and confirm that the NBN installation is not yet completed and an NBN Technician is scheduled to complete the installation on, Tuesday, 23 February 2021, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We recommend to connect again the ADSL modem while waiting for the completion of the installation.

Had called customer service before reading your reply, who organised the NBN Technician to visit.

In the meantime, I keep getting SMS messages tmy service is awaiting activation and I need to connect my NBN modem as soon as possible. Just ignore?

You're welcome, we recommend to ignore the SMS for now and try to set up  the equipment once the installation is completed.
