I lost internet connection

I am not sure what is going on but I lost internet connection. I called TPG and after a one hour wait the technician just said it was an SA wide NBN issue. What's odd is that my mums house still has internet. I am a remote worker who relies in the internet and this is super frustrating.

Some of our internet customers in the north and northeast of Adelaide are experiencing an internet outage after fibre cables were damaged by construction crews working in the CBD. The services should have been restored as expected.
