NBN Fibre break

I changed address and signed up for NBN at my new place and still have not been able to get connected. A technician finally came to help but I was told there is a broken fibre outside the building preventing connection. I cannot even reach TPG on the chat support because when I finally get someone I wait for an answer just for the chat to be ended. The issue has been reported by the technician already and the last person I spoke to said that NBN CO needed 24-48 hours to process the report before scheduling someone to come out. TPG just tell me please if someone is coming soon. I do not have a ticket number and have been using my personal hotspot to just try and get someone to answer my enquiry. 
Please help!
