NBN NTD Box installation delays?

With the latest announcement from NBNco about not supplying new boxes for the next several months, well I think they're not doing anything with HFC connections, does this mean that all of us who submitted a request for a box install before the 2nd of Feb will get the boxes on the already defined install dates we were given or are we going to end up on the tail end of a several month delay?

And can there be anything done to give us an alternative connection until the time we get our NBN set up? Thanks.

Hi @Krystallin21,

TPG and NBN will do everything to complete the installation on the given installation time frame. However, we cannot guarantee due to the impact of this equipment shortage is that some time frames are being extended by NBN Co to ensure that they have the NBN connection boxes on hand which are necessary to complete the installation of services.

 

On the other hand, in the event that you have existing ADSL service it should will remain intact until the installation of NBN service is complete.
