Hey Guys,

The NBN technician just came and installed our FTTC. He says nbn is now connected but we are not getting any internet. He said that TPG need to activate the service.

All four lights are on the NCD but the internet light is not on the modem.

My housemate and I are now without internet and can no longer work from home. We need this connected ASAP.

Hi @ michaelt27 ,

With FTTC,  the cable from the NBN NCD (White Box) needs to be plugged into the WAN port of your modem (Generally a Blue colour). The WAN LED on the modem should be Green.

If the WAN led is Green and the Internet is not, the Username and password may be incorrect in the modem.

Read our TPG Community article on how to set up your NBN FTTC service. The video is followed by a step by step guide. Visit https://link.tpg.com.au/fttc

Regards

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I have tried this with your support team and it still does not work. I am in contact with the nbn tech who installed the service and he says that you guys need to activate the service.

Hi Micheal,

As per your information all lights are on for nbn NCD so can you check your router connection with nbn NCD, see below link for set up.

https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Broadband-Internet/NBN-Fibre-to-the-Curb-FTTC-Setup-Guide/m-p/7856#M...

Check WAN light status on Tp link router.

If WAN is ON but internet light OFF then try to reset modem your modem using reset button.

you can also try using manual configuration:

A. Open your browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1 and press Enter.

B. Enter admin for both the username and password and click Login. If you have changed the login credentials, please enter the current username and password for your modem interface.

C. You will see the home screen shown on the right. Click the Advanced tab.

D. On the menu on the left side of the page, click Network to expand the menu and then click EWAN

E. Enter your TPG Username and Password. Click Save

Hi Michael,

Out of interest, did your installer bring an NCD or did TPG post it out with the router?

Asking because I only received a router and have been unable to get a response from TPG.

Cheers,

Tim
