Hello, I have ordered my nbn to be connected. However my house has never had a phone line installed, what does this mean for me?

Hi @Brookerobbins

Welcome to TPG Community!

We were able to locate your account using your community details and it appears that the service has been installed and activated.

Your address is listed under NBN service class 13, which means that there's an existing copper wire from the node going to the premises.

Could you check if there's a DSL/Phone wall socket in your premises?

You may refer to our community article: NBN FTTN/FTTB Setup - General Setup.

Cheers!

Hello!
So I found a plug with a square plug that has been plugged into it and screwed in.. will it work even if it’s really old? I haven’t taken it apart yet

Hi @Brookerobbins

If that's the only available DSL wall socket, then you need to try if it's going to work.

If not, then let us know or contact our Tech team on 13 14 23 Option 2 + 2 for real time support.

Hi @Brookerobbins

Based on the description of the wall socket it is the old type ADSL wallsocket, we'd like to set your expectation that you may need to use a 610 Adapter to connect the modem/router.

Let us know how it will go.

Cheers!
