NBN installation

Just had a technician visited my home. Been told to attempt connect to nbn after an hour, unsuccessful attempt would have to call the centre for assistance. But been put on hold for half an hour. What should I do to get connected to nbn? Thanks

I would try TPG group at https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/90. They have reps there and more likely to get quicker response than here.
