I was getting SMS messages from TPG. First was Saturday 3:56pm. Resolved on Sunday 6:18pm. So for 24 hours, I had an NBN outage.
I want to know why TPG knew about this outage, yet it isn't reported on the TPG service status. Looking at 'last 24 hours' and 'resolved problems' I cannot see my outage listed. Is this some method to under-report the outages?
I don’t believe TPG send out notifications via SMS advising customers of NBN outages. Are you sure the SMS came from TPG? And looking at your account I can't see we have sent any SMS recently.
I would recommend using both the TPG service status and the NBN outage pages. NBN are always going to be faster at updating their own faults.
