NBN technician

I am a new customer to TPG. I signed up 24 April and paid $70. I received a modem
And was told the earliest NBN tech appointment was 3 May. I took day off work and no one showed up. I have called TPG every day more than once. No one will give me a new appointment time. I work from home 3 days a week and have no internet so have to hotspot my phone. This is costing a fortune. Why can this not be resolved. Does TpG not have a good relationship with NBN. My ex moved out the same day and has had his connection for 2 weeks and I can’t even get an appointment.
