Scam Mail Help

Hi There, 

Just wanted to try and confirm that the mail I got this morning was indeed scam mail. The title of the mail said "ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION ALERT, FINAL REMINDER!"

Dear Webmail Users,

We are closing all old Versions of our Webmail as of TODAY. "THIS IS THE FINAL REMINDER". In order to update your account and information right away, you must proceed with provided URL below:

CLICK HERE TO PROCEED

Important: Your account may be permanently deactivated if you do not comply within 3–7 business days. Finally, in order to expedite the updating process, please make sure you are logging in with the correct credentials.

Right on the money. That email wasn't from us. We'll get you to delete that one and block that email for your safety 😊

I got this too and it looked fishy so I googled it and found this page.

Of course the meta-question is HOW did they get our email addresses?
