Solid Red Light on internet

My internet was running fine until I switched modem etc onto a powerboard. The power was disconnected from both and have since had solid red light on internet.

Restart didn't help.
Trying to do the internet D-link think didn't help.

Red light means a possible line fault affecting the service, let us have a look and get to the bottom of this.
