Ultimo NSW - ADSL2+ Unlimited and NBN Plan

Hi TPG,

Do you have plan to discontinue or start to de-commission the ADSL2+ in Ultimo NSW area? And When?

Will the customers currently on ADSL2+ in Ultimo NSW Area be forced to transfer to nbn connection?

Will TPG downgrade the current ADSL2+ service (quality, bandwidth and/or speed) once after nbn goes live in Ultimo NSW area?

Regards,

Hi @gdeguzma,

Welcome to TPG Community!

Copper lines that ADSL2+ services run off are typically scheduled for decommission within 18 months of NBN becoming serviceable in a street.

Once an address is classed as NBN ready, no provider is able to sell copper based services. To avoid service disruption, existing ADSL customers will need to transition to an NBN plan prior to copper decommission.

The roll out of the NBN does not in any way impact on the quality of ADSL connection provided by TPG.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

What is your plan to transition the current ADSL+ TPG customer to NBN with at least the equivalent level of speed, quality and cost?

Hi @gdeguzma,

Our best NBN bundle deal at present is our Unlimited Data Plan configured on the NBN50 speed tier. We are literally selling hundreds of these plans each day as they provide:

1. Unlimited data with a Typical Evening Speed of 44.5Mbps which is great for multiple users at the same time, HD streaming and gaming.
2. Home phone is included so you can bring across your existing number if you have one.
3. A great Dual Band AC WiFi modem is included
4. Standard installation costs of $99 can be waived when taking an 18 month contract

This plan is only $69.99 per month. Let me know if you would like to be put in contact with one of our NBN specialists.

Hi,

I am happy with the speed and quality i am getting for the cost i pay for my current ADSL+ service. If you want me to transfer to nbn, I will be happy with the equivalent speed and quality for the equivalent cost i am currently paying on ADSL+. I am currently paying $59 a month for ADSL+ Unlimited with home phone, with a line rate speed of 23Mbps. I am currently on a no-contract as i have been a long time customer of TPG. And since it is not my choice to tranfer, i would like you to waive the setup cost. If you can offer me with at least the same speed and condition, for the same price i am paying right now, then I will be willing to transfer.
