any NBN plans without a modem?

It seems NBN is finally coming to our current address and a plan can now be pre-ordered.

Negative for moving to NBN with TPG is it seems it is compulsory to be supplied yet another modem.

I already have 2 VDSL2 capable modems, and do not use home phone, so yet another modem to create more electronic trash is not appealing.  Is there any plan that does NOT include yet another modem?

Hi @iano 

Your address will be NBN-FTTC. You will be required to use a 2nd piece of hardware along with your modem. It is called an NCD.

We dont have plans without the modem option when signing up online.

You could do a signup over the phone and request that you dont want another modem, or you keep 2x and place any unused older modems in E-waste bins.

Make sure your new modem is VDSL compatible.
