I think it's called 3G turn off

I have had a Sim Plan with you since 2002  and am an 80yr old  it is only a small plan to have a mobile for mostly msg.    can you please tell me if this thing called I think 3g turn off will affect my phone.  My dauguter only bought me a new phone to put your sim card in last January   my Mb No. is 0422116519  BUT if you need to ring me it must be on my Telstra home phone because I can not hear very well on the Mobile 0886425305

Thank you  I rang TPG today and they said I have no worry     My Phone is Opal  Big ButtonM AND IT HAS 4g volte on the box so should be all right
