Mobile account about to expire message

Am receiving a message that my account is about to expire when I make a call. My text messages are also undeliverable. After a 55 minute wait yesterday and missing the return call I have attempted to change my plan thinking it must be about to expire, but still no luck. After a 30 minute wait on hold this morning the call hung up. Please help ASAP.
