Mobile account password reset SMS - useless for mobile app (android)

Getting a SMS password reset for a forgotten password for https://account.tpg.com.au/login

You get a link like:

https://novus.tpg.com.au/novus-csm/tpg/index#?uuid=99f369384498469587bb82925e1234567

Click on the link it opens the app and you can do your password reset. It starts OK but it fails if user user name starts with an lowercase character.  The TPG android app that does the password resetting ALWAYS has the first character as uppercase, it will not accept a user ID that starts with lowercase letter.

Its tedious having to copy the SMS link and sending it by mail so it can be fixed on a laptop, you should be able to do the lot on ypur phone.

Hi @JJ10,

You may try using a different browser in opening the link. The auto-capitalisation may have something to do with the handset's default keyboard setting.

Send us a private message should you require further assistance.
