New Zealand Roaming Not Receving SMS

I have activated international roaming few weeks ago, however, most of the sms messages are not getting through to me from Australia (and I need to be in contact with my bank and internet provider!). Very few that get through, arrive 10 hours later. Please, advise.

What troubleshooting have you tried so far?

How many signal bars are you getting?

Try to manually select a network carrier, instead of auto or vice versa if it's already on manual.

I have tried selecting the network manually and automatically. No change.

I have 3-4 signal bars on the phone.

Sms messages from private users get delivered hours later, sms messages from business and banks don't get delivered at all. Sms messages from TPG about payment etc get delivered instantly.

Please, advise.

What other troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? If you have not yet done this, please try to turn on and off the airplane mode of the smart phone, and once reception is back, select a different network.

Yes, I have done all that you mentioned, earlier with no effect.

Any other ideas?
