porting my mobile number to another company

I am moving my mobile number from TPG to another company. The porting request was lodged last Friday. But it is still in progress. How will the porting process take so long for almost one week? My plan is a prepaid without any contract with TPG. When I contact the new service provider, it said the request has been given to TPG last Friday and is still in progress. I am bit lost.

Hi @biru,

 

I am sad to know that you are transfering your mobile service to a different provider. The new service provider is responsible for porting the service to their network. 

 

I would like to confirm if you have been in contact with one of our Mobile Specialists, if not yet drop me a private message with your account details (Customer ID/Mobile Number) also include the best contact number and preferred time and I will have them call you.
