Hi,

Trend Micro keeps reporting a vulnerability with my ArcherVR1600 modem.  It calls the vulnerability "CallStranger UPNP Vulnerability"  Risk is attackers could take confidential data from your device.  Make sure the device has the latest updates.

My firmware version is 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 201123 Rel.47158n

Is anyone aware of this potential vulnerability and or know how to close this exposure to hackers?

Thanks

Hi @Darrell

Are you using the TPG provided modem/router?

If yes, then we need to update the firmware of your device.

In order to lessen the exposure to hackers, just make sure your anti-virus is updated and avoid clicking malicious links.

Keep your passwords updated or change at least once a week and make sure that you only input your personal details on a trusted website.

No, the router is provided by my internet provider, Activ8.

What version firmware should I have?  I thought I already had the latest version.

Thanks

Do you have a TPG service or are you still with Activ8?
