Email Slave Account

An email slave account was telling me the password was wrong, i rang tpg and spoke to their helpdesk who told me i can delete the account and create it again, i asked can the password be reset and they said just delete it and create it again. I questioned them on this as it said on the screen once deleted it cannot be used again.  The response was 'you can use the new one once you create it again'.

So i delete the account, and now i cannot create it again as it is telling me the username already exists.

The lady on the phone then said you cannot use the old account name once you delete it.  I literally just asked that question.

Now i cannot use the old email address unless i pay $27.95 a year to TPG.

Is there any way i can get this email address back please?

Feeling extremely frustrated.

Hi @dazzer

You have one main/master email address which is your 'TPG Email Account' and an Alias is an email address that serves as a nickname identity for your  master or slave email account. All the emails sent to your alias email address will be redirected to the same mailbox as the master or slave account.

The additional email addresses is what we call your slave email account.

Recent updates on your account indicated that you have been assisted by a member of our Tech Team and that your email is already working.

Should you still require further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.

And this is exactly the problem with TPG technical support.

Nothing has been fixed.

I understand how email works.

My Slave email account is now no longer available as i detached it after the TPG tech told me i could recreate it after deleting it. (it says the email address already exists).

I now cannot re-create this slave email account with the exact same email address.

Darren.

Hi Ahra, i remained hopeful, however the same outcome.

I spent about 20 mins on the phone yesterday speaking to the technician who informed me the slave account is marked as inactive so i should be able to recreate it, they they transferred me through to another department who explained the same thing, they then transferred me through to the accounts department (which i thought was strange).

The accounts department then proceeded to ask me for payment details so they could finish setting the slave account up, as they were going to charge me $27 a year to have this email address.

Needless to say i did not give payment details.
