Hello Community, I hope someone can help me with applying for broadband internet at my apartment while I'm still overseas.As I'm unable to contact customer support directly due to time zone differences and international calling rates. I know the specific service I want and my move-in date, but I'm having trouble applying due to my current location. I'd like to have the service activated on or slightly after my move-in date. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have two accounts with TPG with my previous services and I can log in to them, but they're not working properly (raises some exceptions and errors) in the TPG app nor online. Thx in advance!

It is already done byt some of you guys/gals. But I have an TP-Link Archer VR1600V too, what I do not use as its parental function does not work really. So, if you can upgrade that one too, that would be nice. As I think TP-Link is better/faster then the huawei. But not sure

Hi Ahra, I have the same issues. It worked properly, but about two week ago it stopped suddenly without any changes in the Netgear D64000 router. The DLS Link is up but the WAN is not connected. Though, there was some scheduled maintenance in our area (Brisbane City) on that time. So, I had to put the old TP-Link back, but it's very unrealiable in the WLAN (Wi-fi) i.e. frozen occasionally, cannot login to the TP-Link and I have always power off nad on again. Also, I do not have access to the above mentioned Setting up 3rd party devices to work with TPG internet It says Access denied. I am sending a PM to you with my username and phone. Cheers, Pal

Server: 192.168.1.1 Hi, The Eng has contacted me and tried to convenience me that the issue is w/ my plan the 10MB/s download and 1MB/s upload Unlimited NBN plan. I told her that the 1MB/s upload is more than enough as I do not upload anything and just the acknowledge packets are sent, which are peaking at max 20-30KB/sec. Anyway, she told that if I reach the 1MB/s upload limit, then o any new connection would be initiated which can cause the issue. I told, it can the case only if my one or some of my devices are uploading something without my knowledge, so I told her that I will check. In addition, I wanted to upgrade my plan anyway, so I upgraded it to the 50MB/s NBN Plan today afternoon which was applied before I came home (I have tested the speed on the new bandwidth). But, this has not fixed the issue, and when I was testing the DNS query when I got home, it took 6secs to respond and my only device whihc was connected to the Internet used only 215 Bytes/secs bandwidth on the newly applied 50MB NBN plan. So the issue still exists, therefore pls forward it to the Engineer. I would say that some TCP and/or UDP packets are lost on the way. The issue can be the router, or the noisy cabling or anything. So, that would be nice if I could have a used another brand of NBN router for testing, just to be sure that the issue is not w/ the modem. Hi @Anonymous It's quite new (3 months old TP-LINK VR1600v) and it was not replaced at all. But before replace, I would like to test the connection w/ some other brand/model NBN router. Just, to be sure that the TP Link modem causes the dropouts and not the noisy cable or some other components. Also, I did some factory reset on it to be sure that it behaves the same /w the default settings. Cheers, Pal

Hi @ShaneA I am sorry, but I was quite busy in the holidays. It's still bad, but not as bad as it was, as I have turned off the 5G, but there are still some dropouts. So, I just need to switch to the mobile hotspot once a day instead of 3 times or more.:) The problem is that the issue is independent of the Wi-Fi means the dropouts (ICMP query timeouts, DNS UDP packets losts etc) can be seen on the directly connected (RJ45) PC either (Wi-Fi ruled out). Therefore, it can be the router or the cabling (I just have one RJ11 plug to the MDR (Main Distribution Room @ LVL -3 my appt is in LVL58) or the MDR panel either (contact issue?). But, I cannot test them. The best scenario would be to try another brand VADSL modem to see whether it's the modem/router or the cabling. Cheers, Pal

Hi, I have two apartments in the same building one w/ Huawey and one w/ TP-Link VR1600v. I have moved recently in to that one which has the TP-Link router. Since then I am experiencing the issue w/ the the internet connection. The DSL is up but it's unreliable. Example, when I was writing this post the page has lost the contact to the server, see attached picture. Also, the ICMP query requests sometimes timeout, see detail below the Part 1. Also, the DNS queries are timeouts almost in every 30-60 seconds, see Part 2 below. I have tried w/ the following DNS servers and the result was the same: the router's one the 192.168.1.1 The TPG's primary and secondary DNS the 203.12.160.35 and 203.12.160.36 and the Google's public one the 8.8.8.8 The latency is fine, but it seems there are several TCP and UDP packets are lost on the way. So, I am experiencing some timeouts when surfing the net using the web servers, or when I download some files, the download stops several time etc. You can imagine, that It's quite annoying, as not the speed is the issue but that the network is not reliable. I experience this issue on all of my devices, phones, tablets connected by Wi-FI or directly using Cat-6 cables. I need to switch to my phone's hotspot at least 5 times a day, as my phones 3G is much more reliable than the TPGs NBN network. Therefore, that would be nice if some technician could have a look at it as I do not have access to your side of the Network. Please do not ask whether I followed the NBN troubleshooting guide or not, as I have tried everything which is written into it (including reboots, and every possible thing in my side). Also, I am a Sys Eng, with several enterprise certificates (including Cisco CCNA), so pls do not try to bother w/ some basic/elementary requests.
