I switched to the NBN 100 plan today, I was previously on the NBN 50. However, now that the plan has switched I'm still getting the same speeds as I did on the NBN50 plan. So thats about 52 Mbps download, and 13 Mbps upload. According to line speed tests (done by TPG) I should be able to achieve close to 99 Mbps download and 40Mbps upload, but its not happening. I'm wondering if the issue is linked to my modem router as I'm not using the TPG provided router. Rather, I'm using the TP Archer VR2800. Is there a setting or something I need to change in the modem to enable the higher speeds? Thanks

I don't know why this was marked as resolved. For me, I was able to run an Ethernet cable and that fixed the problem. But the fact remains that no WDS function exists on this modem, and that either needs to be rectified or corrected.

Yes, I have exhausted all the other menu options. The checkbox to enable WDS is no where to be found.

The current computer is connected by Ethernet cable. My laptop is connected by 2.4ghz wireless. In all circumstances, the WDS checkbox is not present. I believe the firmware information is visible at the bottom of the 2 pictures I have posted.

That first image in my previous post is on the 2.4 ghz band. And as comparison, I have also sent you a screenshot of the 5ghz band settings page here. As you can see, on both pages, the checkbox at the bottom is WPS, not WDS, two entirely different functions. I look forward to your response.

Here is a screen shot. At the bottom of the page, according to the manual, and the instructions provided above, there should be a WDS checkbox. However, there is a checkbox to enable WPS instead.

Hi, I have tried your suggestion for enabling WDS, however, when I go to that location (advanced>wireless>advanced settings), I do not find a WDS checkbox as per the instructions. Instead, I find a WPS check box. So what is going on here? Is this a firmware difference? I received my TP-Link Vr1600v today and am trying to configure it for my home network. Everything else works fine except for the missing WDS function.
