Hi, I have just signed up for a 100Mbps NBN FTTP plan, and have received an Archer C1200. When I plug my computer into the gigabit Ethernet switch on this router, my maximum speed using Speedtest.net is about 70Mbps down. However, if I unplug the router and connect my PC directly to the NTD and create a PPPoE connection on the PC, I easily get better than 95Mbps using the same speed test tool. This is the only device connected to the router. If I connect my PC via WiFi to the router, I don’t get better than 50Mbps even though I am using AC wireless which is syncing at around 500Mbps according to the operating system.
