I have the same issue - my NBN box appears to have died after nearby lightning strikes during an intense thunderstorm yesterday. No other devices on the same powerboard were affected, however.   I plan to try a replacement power pack (12v/1.5A) first of all, but I have not found it easy to locate one from the usual suppliers.
