HFC NBN - speed slows down every day until power cycling of NTD

Hi all,   As frequently as about once a day, my HFC NBN connection slows down to an extremely slow speed (0.1mbps). Some quick trouble shooting shows that power cycling the router (Archer VR1600v v2) does nothing, but power cycling the NTD fixes the issue (at least until the next time it slows down).    Do you have any solutions to this problem?
