Due to COVID I am working from home. I require access to the hospital server. To access the server I require a static IP address. TPG only offer static IP addresses in business accounts. I am not running a business, I don’t have an ABN, I am just trying to do my job from my home office. The business plan, matching my current level of service; costs an additional $20 extra per month, is significantly less flexible if I require to changes plans, and offers services I will never use. There must be an option to have a static IP address without losing the flexibility of a residential service, or paying for services I will never use. Others in our user group accessing this software have paid between $0 -$5 per month for a static IP address with alternate NBN providers. Prior to moving to this address, I had been an Optus customer for 30 years. If their service didn’t meet my needs they were flexible in adding additional data, services and discount rates, whatever was required. Where is TPGs customer service????
