upgrading the Router to non TPG

Hello,   I want to upgrade my router from the original Archer VR1600v (TPG connectio) to a new one.  Can I connect a plain router directly to my Arris modem box via ethernet cable?  would AX86U go well with my TPG connection ? or suggest another one pls.   Thanks JC ... View more
