Have you had any response about auto re-booting your modem?    I have tried to do the same thing, and it appeared not to work.   Once every month or so my modem needs to be manually rebooted to be connected with the internet again. Sometimes I am not present to be able do this and would like to guarantee re-boot automatically when this glitch occurs.    I have not yet determined if the glitch occurs when the new external IP address is assigned (or not).   Cheers Noel ...
