Moved in with a mate with no net and I'm the one now providing, he has FTTN, I'm with TPG and bought our own modem router, housemate bought a VDSL modem router not a VDSL2 or VDSL2+ Using the VDSL modem router on my NBN50, I'm downloading files at the speeds of 2.5mbps and while gaming Internet drops out suddenly sometimes. Would owning a vdsl2 or vdsl2+ modem router help? Or would you think it would be the actual copper lines to the house. The area is nbn ready, I got this email tonight recommending me to reduce my plan because I'm not getting the speeds, even tho I'm area allows it... Modem or lines? I'm clueless ... View more
